HOLD ON MY ACCOUNT As If I Hadn't Jumped Through Enough Hoops Already I got a short little computer-generated email two days ago that informed me of a hold on my account. It simply said " We were not able to process your registration. Please come by one of our two convenient offices immediately to pay the remainder of your account by check, money order, or cashiers check. Have a nice day."
Actually they didn't say "have a nice day", but that sure would have been ironic... so I threw it in for fun.
To help you understand my state of mind at the present, let me take back just one week in time to August 13th. I called up Bank of America to see if I had been approved for my loans. They assured me that my two loans for $22,500 and $25,000 respectively had each been approved by them and were currently awaiting some sort of confirmation/verification by UVA. So, I went down to Darden and spoke with "Xena" (named changed to protect the innocent) who informed me that yes, I was indeed missing a piece of paperwork. She promptly produced said paperwork, I signed it, she faxed it, and I thought that would be the end of it.
Except I got an email four days later that said I had no money in my account and would not be attending Darden unless I payed them.
Which does, in general, make good logical sense. So I don't hold the school responsible for the stress-inducing little gremlin in my inbox... I'm not sure who I can vent my frustration on, so for now I've just decided to hate on Global Warming. It's been blamed for pretty much everything else in the world so why not my financial aid crisis? The only other alternative is like... blaming myself and moving on...
But come on!? How boring would that be? Posted August 19, 2007
Posted by: Beejaydee84 I laughed at this. So typical of life. Sorry about the stress, though. Posted 2007-09-10 12:36:19 COMMENT ON THIS POST
