DARDEN PREMATRICULATION: DAY 1 After Nearly Two Years... Finally About To Start My MBA
It's not really all that scary for me yet... The feelings of insecurity haven't hit me, I've got (almost all of) my paperwork filled out for registration, and I only have one pre-module left - Economnic, but it's not due until next Monday.
I've spent the last several days going through the process of self-reflection, and goal-charting that Darden calls "Career Next Step". They have you walk through this computer-guided process that is intended to help you refine, clarify, and set the standards of the target you are aiming for over the next two years. For me, it's just a job thanks!
I hope the Dean of my B-School isn't reading this (love you Bob), because I am sure that the average MBA student comes into this program with way more lofty career aspirations than just, well... anything exciting. And inspiring I suppose. Actually I should just quote myself from yesterday:
"I am seeking an Innovative Banking, Strategy and Marketing or General Management position to generate creative ideas, marketing strategies, and successful business plans to bring new products to market and increase profits for my organization while striving to beautify the world and leave it in better shape than when I found it."
I guess that pretty much covers all the awesome jobs I could run into, so I should be good to go. For now, I just need to study. And eat, because I have to leave in 15 minutes. More later... Posted August 16, 2007 COMMENT ON THIS POST
